Life coaching is a process where a Life Coach supports and guides an individual through positive reinforcement, encouragement and self discovery. Is a Life Coach the same as a Counselor?
No a Life Coach is not the same as a counselor. The primary focus of a Life Coach is to ask thought provoking questions and guide clients with their decision making. We offer a safe and encouraging space for clients to define how they want to improve their lives. Counsellors deal with issues relating to mental health and trauma. A Life Coach does not. The benefits of working with a Life Coach are many as we offer practical solutions to help you meet your needs faster and often are a more alternative method for our clients.
What does a typical session with a Life Coach look like?
A Life Coaching session is based on the style of the Life Coach and the needs and preferences of the client being coached in addition to the type of coaching before offered. The initial session will usually begin with getting to know the client, assessing their skills, identifying their needs and formulating a plan. The Life Coach will go through a series of thought-provoking questions and assessments with the client in order to develop a plan. The plan is self-led and self-directed in its entirety by the client. Life coaching sessions are relaxed, comfortable, extremely flexible and positive.

Life coaches help individuals in a variety of areas such as career planning, job search, self-discovery and goal setting. How long does it take to see results?
Creating a plan of action is immediate. How long depends on you and whether or not you are willing and able to follow through with the goals you set for yourself. Results with a coach will definitely be faster than doing it alone because we are here to motivate and guide you to complete tasks along the way and celebrate you when you achieve your goals. Clients who stick to their plan and invest their time into weekly meetings over a period of time with regular check -ins will naturally feel the most accomplished and see the results of their action plan manifesting much quicker than otherwise. For best results, you should plan on at least 4-12 sessions to start.
